Looking for a way to use up some of that leftover turkey? Make this simple chowder in your slow cooker or on the stovetop for a warm and hearty bowl of goodness!
Turkey-Wild Rice Chowder http://lifemadedelicious.ca/en/Recipes/S/Slow-Cooker-Turkey-Wild-Rice-Chowder.aspx
For slow cooker, place all ingredients in except peas. Cover and cook on low 8-9 hours. Gently stir in peas. Cover and cook on high 5 min. Remove bay leaves. I make this on the stovetop because I’m impatient! Instant rice would make this go quicker on the stove too.
*The soup mix has a lot of sodium and isn’t an ideal ingredient – sub it out with diced onion and a variety of spices!
Feast on leftovers, feast with items on hand, and as always…FEAST ON!!!
